For their critically acclaimed sophomore album, "Crimson Wires," indie-rockers The Vex wanted a sound that was bigger, bolder, and more dynamic. We handled the entire production, from initial tracking to final mastering. The goal was to blend vintage grit with modern clarity. We tracked the drums in our expansive live room to capture a huge, ambient sound, running the guitars through our collection of vintage amps for authentic rock tones. The entire album was mixed on our SSL console, using its legendary bus compressor to glue the tracks together with that iconic rock-and-roll punch. This project was a true collaboration, and we're incredibly proud of the powerful, anthemic record that resulted.
